Our pediatric cardiologist told us that he would only send us to one of three places. Boston, NYC or Philly. Well we started our in the big apple. Mainly because it was so close to our house. But we found all this information from CHOP in Philly. They have some great educational videos on You Tube and I think that we both really wanted to go there, but we were afraid of what would happen if I went into labor early. I am going to say we were at Columbia for about a month when the insurance company informed us that we were not covered 100% there. However, we were covered 100% at CHOP. NO BRAINIER!!! I believe in my heart that God planned for us to go to CHOP. It is where he belonged. I can not imagine allowing anyone else to work on his heart. We are blessed with one of the greatest pediatric heart surgeons, one of the greatest pediatric cardiologist and the best nursing staff in the WORLD!! If you have to be in a hospital with your child. CHOP is where you want to be!! From the moment we walked into the SDU they filled us with hope. They used words like "when" instead of "if". They prepared us for the fight of our lives!!
